Soma Snakeoil AKA Goddess Soma is a multi-media artist, social activist and proud pervert. Once upon a time when she was a porn whore, she wrote and directed a little flick called Rubber Bordello. It won some stuff, including several AVNs and her personal favorite The Feminist Porn Award (an amazing honor but also a fully functional dildo shaped trophy…) She had a brief, beautiful stint as the owner and editor of the famed fetish magazine Domination Directory International: that ended in legal tragedy and public humiliation, ran The Vegas Punk House…in Vegas, and co-wrote “Home Street Home” the musical.
When she is not writing, painting or cracking her whips, Soma devotes her time to several activist organizations, including DAD: Dominatrix’s Against Donald. One of her greatest loves is spending time on the streets involved in arts programs for the homeless community with The Sidewalk Project and most recently creating original paintings for Punk Rock & Paintbrushes. Soma’s involvement with PR&B traces back to her friendship and working relationship with Emily Treasure. The two first worked together on Rock V. Cancer and continue to be close. In addition to all of this and above all, Soma is a mother of a badass young feminist writer currently studying abroad.
